Dushanbe, 25 August: We will implement agreements that have been reached between our governments, Li Ruogu, chairman [and president] of the Export-Import Bank of China, told journalists today following a meeting with the Tajik president.

In particular, he noted that during the talks with Emomali Rahmon, the process of the implementation of three projects financed by the bank had been discussed. These projects are the Lolazor- Khatlon power line, which has already been put into operation, the South-North power line and the reconstruction of the Dushanbe- Khujand-Buston-Chanak motorway.

“The Chinese side allocated 603.5m dollars as a preferential loan for the implementation of these three projects. In all, 133m [dollars] have been used so far,” the Chinese banker said, noting that during the talks, the construction of hydroelectric power stations, which Tajikistan hopes to build with financial support from China, had also been discussed.
