Allied Blenders and Distilleries to Spend INR4 Billion on Expansion

India-based Allied Blenders and Distilleries has said that it is spending INR4 billion to expand its operations, revealed the Press Trust of India.
As part of its expansion plans, the company intends to buy bottling units. Currently, Allied Blenders and Distilleries has three bottling plants and arrangements with other 27 bottlers for contract manufacturing.
However, if the acquisition plans do not materialize, the company intends to set up greenfield manufacturing facility in states such as Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and West Bengal. In order to ensure ethanol supply for its plant, Allied Blenders and Distilleries is looking at constructing a greenfield plant in Maharashtra.
Deepak Roy, executive vice chairman and CEO of Allied Blenders and Distilleries, said: "Total estimated investments in both bottling, inclusive of acquisitions, as well as distillery would be to the tune of INR4 billion, which will arranged through a mix of debt and internal accruals."
