RAK International Airport Selects March Networks to Improve Passenger Security

March Networks, a provider of business analysis applications, has announced that Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has selected its VideoSphere intelligent video management solution to improve passenger and asset security in airport's main terminal and adjacent facilities.
According to the company, the VideoSphere solution will provide that Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) International Airport with real-time operational intelligence and advanced video management. More than 100 VideoSphere encoders with embedded video analytics will increase the capabilities of the airport's existing CCTV network by automatically alerting staff to events such as an unattended bag or unauthorized person entering a restricted area. New VideoSphere recording platforms will ensure extended archiving, while powerful video management software enables efficient administration of the integrated IP video network.
The solution will be delivered by Oasis Enterprises, a March Networks systems provider, based in Dubai.
Basel Aref, general manager of professional projects division at Oasis Enterprises, said: "The VideoSphere solution provides Ras Al Khaimah airport with world-class surveillance capabilities in keeping with its new, state-of-the-art passenger and cargo services. The analytics capabilities in particular are of critical importance, enabling the authority to maintain the highest security standards for its customers and partners."
