Vestas Receives 48MW Wind Turbine Order From China

Vestas, a Danish company involved in the development, manufacturing, marketing and maintenance of wind power systems, has received an order for 24 units of its V90-2MW wind turbine for the Sigeng project in China. The order has been placed by China National Offshore Oil Corporation Energy Investment.

The project is located in the Dongfang City on the southern Chinese island of Hainan.

The contract includes supply and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business supervisory control and data acquisition system and a two-year service and maintenance agreement.

Lars Andersen, managing director of Vestas China, said: “We are extremely honored to have been selected as the supplier for China National Offshore Oil Corporation’s first wind power project in China, and we are confident that this is the beginning of a fruitful and long-lasting partnership between our two companies.”
