Posted on: Wednesday, 27 August 2008, 12:01 CDT
IHS Herold Inc. has released a gold medal agenda for its annual Pacesetters Energy Conference, which will be held on September 23 - 25, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT. Inspired by the recent Beijing Olympics, the conference will focus on the fierce competition for resources, capital and returns in an increasingly dynamic and turbulent oil and gas industry.
The premier industry event, the IHS Herold Pacesetters Energy Conference features three keynote speakers and 15 panels that focus on such critical issues as the global supply and demand imbalance, growing reserves in an era of resource nationalism, the evolving relationship between the major national and international oil companies, energy policy and the upcoming election, cutting edge developments in deepwater exploration, the economics of U.S. gas shale plays, and the most promising alternative energy options. IHS Herold has assembled a world-class roster of speakers from Brazil, Japan, Russia, Hungary, Norway, India, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Columbia, Canada, Israel, and the United States.
The Pacesetters Energy Conference will feature three keynote speakers: H. Craig Clark of Forest Oil on building a Pacesetter energy company; G. Bryan Dutt of Ironman Energy Partners II LP on investing in oil and gas companies; and Robert Bryce, author of "Gusher of Lies," on the myth of U.S. energy independence.
A pre-conference golf outing will be held on Monday, September 22. Each day of the conference will include networking breakfasts and evening receptions.
