TCS Wins Singapore Airlines Cargo Contract
India-based IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services has won a five-year contract from Singapore Airlines Cargo to continue to provide cargo back-office revenue accounting services. It won a similar contract from the company in 2004.
Girija Pande, executive vice president and regional director at TCS Asia Pacific, said: “Singapore Airlines and TCS have always enjoyed a long lasting relationship which can be termed more as a partnership in progress rather than a customer service provider relationship.”
It is one of several airline deals TCS has won recently. In May it won a four-year contract renewal from Virgin Atlantic Airways to provide IT infrastructure and application management services, and last year it won a multi-year contract from Hawaiian Airlines to provide IT infrastructure and business process outsourcing services.
