WALNUT CREEK — More than 3,700 Pacific Gas and Electric Co. customers temporarily lost power late Wednesday due to downed wires, according to the utility district.
The outage affected residents in Walnut Creek and in Alamo, spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said. It was first reported at 8:03 p.m. and affected 3,745 customers. By 10 p.m., all but 648 customers had power restored.
The affected power pole was at the intersection of Blackstone and Solveig drives in Walnut Creek.
Ehlers said there was no timetable for the restoration of power to the remaining residents.
