TAM to Launch Sao Paulo-Lima Service By 2008-End
Brazilian airline TAM has announced that it will initiate a flight between Sao Paulo and Lima, Peru, before the end of 2008; in addition to the direct flight between Brasilia and Buenos Aires, Argentina, already in operation as part of its South American expansion.
The airline has previously announced the start of the service between Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Miami, US, departing from Belo Horizonte in Brazil, starting on September 19, 2008.
Before the end of 2008, TAM will be initiating two daily flights between Rio de Janeiro and New York, and Sao Paulo and Orlando; which are now in the final phase of approval before Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency. To sustain the plan for international growth, the airline is adding two Boeing 767-300 aircraft to its fleet.
