Borrego Solar Systems to Expand New England Operations into Connecticut

August 28, 2008

Borrego Solar Systems, a designer and installer of grid-connected solar electric power systems, has announced that it will expand its New England operations into Connecticut to meet increasing demand for solar energy.

The company said that, since opening a New England office in July 2007, it has experienced significant growth, installing more than 50 residential, commercial and public-sector solar electric systems throughout the region.

Borrego Solar’s 50 regional installations reportedly offset 2.4 million pounds of CO2 emissions, the equivalent of planting nearly 1,000 acres of trees.

Chris Anderson, COO of Borrego Solar, said: “Our growth in New England has been fueled by increasing demand for sustainable alternatives to traditional energy, and we anticipate continued success as we expand into Connecticut.”
