Horizon Wind Energy, SCPUD Sign Power Purchase Agreement

Horizon Wind Energy, a wind project developer owned by EDP Renovaveis, has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with the Snohomish County Public Utility District, to sell renewable wind energy from its Wheat Field wind farm.
Horizon's Wheat Field wind farm, located in Gilliam County, Oregon, will have an installed capacity of 96.6MW of renewable wind energy and will consist of 46 Suzlon S88 2.1MW turbines.
Antonio Costa, chairman and CEO of Horizon Wind Energy, said: "We look forward to working with the Snohomish County Public Utility District (SCPUD), the largest public utility district in Washington State, and applaud Snohomish for taking action to supply its customers with clean, renewable wind energy."
