Russia, Tajikistan Sign Agreements on Energy, Arms Trade
DUSHANBE. Aug 29 (Interfax) – Several bilateral documents, including those related to energy and military-technical cooperation, have been signed during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Tajikistan.
In addition to a joint statement of the two presidents these are agreements between the two governments on the protection of intellectual property rights related to military-technical cooperation and an agreement on the establishment of the Pamir- Chakaltai international research center.
The ministries of culture and agriculture also signed cooperation agreements.
A memorandum was also signed with the Tajik Energy and Industry Ministry on cooperation and new energy projects in the Central Asian country.
