Russia Won’t Cut Oil and Gas Supplies to Europe, but Will Diversify Routes – Putin
August 31, 2008
MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) – Russia does not intend to restrict oil and gas supplies to Europe but will diversify the exports of its hydrocarbons, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said.
That was his comment in an interview shown on Russia TV channel on the assumption that Russia may cut down on oil and gas deliveries to Europe.
“We don’t intend to restrict anything. We will strictly stand by our contract obligations but will expand and diversify our possibilities of exporting such a highly valued commodity as hydrocarbons,” Putin said.
