Tajik, Uzbek Trade Officials Discuss Cooperation

Dushanbe, 30 August: The chairmen of the trade and industry chambers (TIC) of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Sharif Said and Alisher Shayxov [respectively], have agreed holding a meeting of the business circles of the two countries in 2009 at a meeting in Dushanbe.

A source in the press centre of the Tajik Trade and Industry Chamber told Avesta that the meeting of the TIC heads of the two countries had discussed trade and economic relations and opportunities for expanding cooperation.

“Sharif Said handed over a CD “Business guide” to the guest. It was prepared by the Tajik TIC in Russian and English. It contains information on the Tajik economy, as well as the tax, customs and legislative fields, over 525 enterprises, and descriptions of 176 investment projects,” the source in the chamber concluded.
