What a Letdown

I’VE met Zoom airline founder John Boyle before and found him to be a caring and reasonable man.

But if I’d been a Zoom passenger at Glasgow Airport last week, I’d like to have found him alone for five minutes in the gents lavvy.

For high fliers like John Boyle, losses of pounds 25million come with the territory. But for those stuck on the ground, their pounds 250 flight was probably hard-earned.

Firms go bust every day.

But I thought the days of turning up at an airport to find your carrier in administration were behind us.

Getting customers to where they paid to fly to was someone’s responsibility.

Last week it was John Boyle’s, and he let them and himself down.
