Tentative Deals Made With Two School Unions

Pittsburgh Public Schools reached two tentative deals Tuesday with unions representing 700 employees.

The agreements were reached with Locals 297 and 2924 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. Local 297 represents 450 custodians, food service workers, repairmen, truck drivers and other workers. Local 2924 represents about 250 clerical workers.

Terms of the deals were not announced, pending ratification. No dates for ratification have been set.
