Northwest Airlines August Traffic Up

Northwest Airlines and Northwest Airlink regional carriers have flown 7.3 billion consolidated revenue passenger miles in August 2008, an increase of 1.9%, compared to 7.13 billion consolidated revenue passenger miles in August 2007.
The airline’s capacity increased 3.1% to 8.4 billion consolidated available seat miles, compared to 8.14 billion consolidated available seat miles in August 2007.
Northwest Airlines has reported a consolidated load factor of 86.6%, compared to 87.6% in August 2007. Mainline load factor was 87.8% in August 2008, down 0.7 points, compared to 88.5% in August 2007.
