Nitro Petroleum, engaged in exploitation and development of oil and natural gas properties, has announced that it is scheduling a re-work on the Quinlan-2 well located in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.

Nitro is the operator of the project and anticipates performing this work immediately. This well has a depth of 4,800 feet and Nitro expects to produce from the Simpson Dolomite formation. The Simpson Dolomite zone is claimed to be a prolific pay zone in the state of Oklahoma.

Larry Wise, president and CEO of Nitro, said: “The historical records note that the Quinlan well produced in excess of 100 barrels of oil per day and 1,500 barrels of salt water, and was shut in during 1979 due to low oil prices.”
