Ivara Corporation has announced that ScottishPower, a supplier of electricity and gas, has selected Ivara EXP Enterprise asset performance management software to ensure the availability of the company's generation equipment.
The solution will be implemented at ScottishPower's portfolio of combined cycle gas turbine and coal-fired generation facilities within its energy wholesale business unit. EXP Enterprise will be a key enabler of ScottishPower's operations and maintenance strategy (OMS) focused on the development and implementation of a standard and integrated reliability process, said Ivara.
As an RCM2 customer, the energy wholesale business of ScottishPower was introduced to Ivara through The Aladon Network.
ScottishPower conducted many RCM2 analyses within its power stations, and was searching for an effective solution to improve reliability program implementation. The company first piloted the project at its Longannet Power Station with the objective to implement the results of an RCM2 analysis using EXP Enterprise.
Martin Sedgwick, head of asset management at ScottishPower, said: "The Longannet pilot demonstrated the depth of Ivara's offering. EXP is a powerful combination of technology and practices that enables a standard and integrated asset reliability process which is perfectly aligned with our OMS initiative."
