IMA to Provide In-Flight Video Advertising Sales for Panasonic Avionics Corporation's OneMedia IFE System

In-Flight Media Associates, Inc. (IMA) announced today an agreement with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to provide in-flight advertising sales for their OneMedia advertising network. IMA will have the exclusive right to perform all advertising sales within North America, Canada, Mexico and Central America for Panasonic's OneMedia ad service.
Advertising options available exclusively through IMA for display on Panasonic's OneMedia service include click-through banners that take passengers to microsites within the IFE system on each participating airline. Each microsite can then be navigated using the same touch screen controls of the IFE system to offer video playback and other messaging opportunities for advertisers. Unlike traditional overhead video systems, OneMedia generates detailed impression reports, click-thru rates and other important data that has, until now, never been available to advertisers in the in-flight medium.
IMA's in-flight advertising expertise and Panasonic's OneMedia service will be instrumental in creating additional revenue streams for participating airlines as they continue to transition to digital IFE systems that offer more personalized entertainment choices for their passengers. Click-through banners placed on the same screens passengers search to find their preferred type of entertainment from choices including movies, HBO programming, live satellite television and games, makes this union of entertainment content and advertising content a first.
"After a decade of experience in all other forms of in-flight advertising, we're excited about our role in bringing this engaging, measurable and cost-effective in-flight option to advertisers," said Sep Joukar, CEO of In-Flight Media Associates, Inc. "Bringing measurable ad impressions and click-through options just like online advertising to the captive audience that only the airlines can offer is an important step in the evolution of in-flight advertising."
