Schools Go Solar

Schools in Derbyshire can receive free solar panels worth pounds20,000 as part of a national environmental scheme.

The Co-operative's Green Energy scheme has already led to solar panels being installed at St Laurence Catholic Primary School, in Long Eaton.

Another pounds1m funding will enable 60 other schools to install panels, which produce enough energy to power a computer for 33,000 hours.

Co-operative members can nominate their school between now and November 5.
