Iron and Steel Imports Increased By 48%
According to Addustour newspaper (September 9, 2008), a recently released report by the Central Bank of Jordan shows that the volume of Jordan’s iron and steel imports grew to JD 329.1 million in the first half of 2008, an increase of 48% compared with the corresponding period of last year. Ukraine, Russia, and Saudi Arabia supplied 70% of these imports.
