2500 Hit As Hols Firm Fails
By Mark McGivern
AT LEAST 2500 tourists were stuck abroad yesterday after their holiday company collapsed.
Seguro Travel ceased trading after the airline that supplied 80per cent of their planes went bust because of sky-high fuel prices.
Around 1500 of the stranded holidaymakers were believed to be Scots. Two thirds of Seguro tourists used Prestwick Airport in Ayrshire.
An estimated 18,000 customers had booked future holidays with Seguro.
