Verizon Wireless and Glu Mobile Announce New Games, Including "The Dark Knight," Now Available on V CAST

SAN FRANCISCO, BASKING RIDGE, N.J., and SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- From CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2008 in San Francisco, Verizon Wireless, builder and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network, and Glu Mobile Inc. , a leading global publisher of mobile games, today announced "The Dark Knight,""Get Cookin'" and "CrossPix" are the latest Glu games available to Verizon Wireless customers.

In "The Dark Knight," the only game available on any platform based on Warner Bros. Pictures' blockbuster film and DC Comics' world renowned characters, a reign of chaos has swept over Gotham City, organized by a criminal mastermind known to terrified citizens only as the Joker. Players must fight crime using Batman's dynamic combat moves and special gadgets and use stealth to evoke fear in the hearts of enemies. Batman must use every weapon in his arsenal in order to confront his most devious enemy yet.

"Get Cookin'" and "CrossPix" are two original titles from Glu Mobile Inc. "Get Cookin'" challenges players to create delicious cuisine by perfecting a wide variety of cooking methods, ingredients, seasonings and recipes, while "CrossPix" offers Sudoku fans a brand new way to test their deduction skills with dozens of logic puzzles which, when solved, reveal pictures and graphics of a variety of familiar themes.
