IFA Signs Three-Year Electricity Discount Deal With Bord Gais

The Irish Farmers Association and its group service division IFA Telecom/Power have announced an exclusive three-year electricity discount deal with Bord Gais Energy Supply.

The partnership with Bord Gais Energy Supply means that IFA members will be guaranteed a combined minimum saving of 24% on their electricity requirements during the three-year period with 12% discount guaranteed in year one, and a minimum discount of 6% in years two and three.

Bord Gais Energy Supply currently holds 8% of the Irish electricity market and in recent months has expanded its electricity offering to Irish businesses, based on competitive pricing arrangements.

Bord Gais has recently announced its ambition to grow its standing as an energy supplier in Ireland through an E2 billion investment program earmarked till 2014.
