Posted on: Thursday, 11 September 2008, 12:00 CDT

CHICAGO, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Former actress, model and Playboy Playmate Candace Collins Jordan recently launched Candid Candace, a blog detailing hot events, close encounters, unique finds and fashion tips. Her blog can be viewed at http://www.candidcandace.com/.

As Candace Collins, Jordan was featured as a Playboy centerfold; Miss December of 1979 and a cover girl for Playboy and its many international editions numerous times and was selected as Chicago's Playboy "Bunny of the Year" in 1976. She was also featured on a JVC billboard in Times Square and appeared in "Risky Business" with Tom Cruise.

Candace Collins married Chuck Jordan, a successful ad agency exec in 1989 in Chicago where they make their home. In the last decade she has consistently been named to a variety of "best dressed" lists in Chicago publications.

Jordan became interested in blogging after a brief stint at a local magazine as fashion editor and stylist. It was there that she was first introduced to blogging, and she is determined to utilize her extensive industry knowledge and flair for fashion and fun in her new forum. Jordan published her first Candid Candace entry on August 25th and hopes to begin blogging weekly in the near future.

"I love blogging -- I feel I have always been a photojournalist at heart so I'm very excited to launch CandidCandace.com," said Jordan. "For me, recounting events on my blog through photos I have taken at each event is like attending them all over again and I hope that my present and future readers will enjoy it as much as I do!"

In addition to running her blog, Jordan is very involved with a number of organizations throughout Chicago. She currently sits on the development board of PAWS Chicago, is a member of the Parkways Foundation and serves as an executive board member for both the Joffrey Ballet and Common Threads. This year, Jordan will also chair the Joffrey's Couture & Cocktails event, co-chair the Service Club Ball and serve as a contributor to the Department of Cultural Affairs' Fashion Focus 2008.
