INTERESTING that while a debate rages on these pages about the good or ill of Thatcher’s legacy comes news that a coalmine has reopened.
The rising price of coal means that mining has now become economically attractive in this country.
I wonder how much less dependant the UK would be on other countries for its energy needs had this dogmatic and uncaring woman not forced the closure of coalmines to score a political point against the NUM.
