Gasoline Prices Down 5 Cents More, Ninth Week of Decline

GASOLINE PRICES DOWN 5 CENTS MORE, NINTH WEEK OF DECLINE
AAA Southern New England reported Monday that the average price of self-serve, regular gas in the Bay State was $3.56 per gallon, 5 cents below last week and 53 cents lower than the July 7 peak of $4.08 a gallon. A year ago, the average statewide price was $2.66 a gallon.
Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are 10 cents a gallon below the national average.
D'ANGELO OFFERING FOUR NEW 'HEARTY BISTRO' SANDWICHES
DEDHAM - D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches this week launched four new "Hearty Bistro" sandwiches selling for $5.99.
The sandwiches are served on toasted ciabatto rolls and come in Bistro Italian, turkey club, roast beef, and horseradish and ham and Swiss varieties.
Free samples of the new sandwiches will be available on Sept. 30 at participating D'Angelo restaurants.
VERIZON WIRELESS OPENS STORE-IN-STORE IN BROCKTON
BROCKTON - Verizon Wireless has opened a new retail store in the Circuit City store at 395 Westgate Drive in Brockton. The store- within-a-store offers a full range of Verizon Wireless products.
NORWELL COMPANY FINISHES BERRYBROOK SCHOOL IN DUXBURY
NORWELL - Acella Construction Corp. has completed construction of the Berrybrook School at 267 Winter St. in Duxbury.
The 6,700-square-foot building on a 60-acre site was designed to reflect the style of the 18th-century farmhouse that was originally on the site.
Acella worked with Strekalovsky Architecture of Hingham on the school, which contains three handicapped accessible classrooms and one multipurpose room.
SHAW'S PARENT EXPANDS PROGRAM TO HELP DIABETICS
Supervalu Inc., the Minnesota parent company of Shaw's Supermarkets, is expanding its "Eating Healthy with Diabetes" program to in-store pharmacies in New England.
Two-hour programs will include tours through supermarket aisles that teach participants how to read labels and make healthier food choices. In Massachusetts, tours will take place at Shaw's Osco locations.
BEDFORD ROBOT-MAKER ACQUIRES N.C. COMPANY
BEDFORD - IRobot Corp. IS diving into a new market with its acquisition of underwater robotics manufacturer Nekton Research LLC in a deal valued at up to $15 million. Bedford's iRobot - which is best known for its vacuuming robot, the Roomba, and its military robots - will pay $10 million for North Carolina's Nekton, and another $5 million if the business meets certain financial goals.
