Suzlon Energy Completes 51MW Wind Project for ONGC in India

Suzlon Energy, an integrated wind power company, has completed its 51MW wind power project in Gujarat for the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India.
The project located at Motisindholi in the Kutch district of Gujarat features 34 units of Suzlon’s S82 – 1.5MW turbines and will provide captive generation capacity for the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), powering centers at Anklesvar, Ahmedabad, Mehasana and Vadodara in Gujarat.
Rohit Modi, president of India business for Suzlon Energy, said: “This is a very important step for ONGC. This investment is a clear validation of the importance of wind and renewable energy in powering the world of tomorrow.”
