September 12, 2008
The University of North Dakota is sharing in a contract to train air traffic controllers.
The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded the 10-year, $437 million training contract to Raytheon Co.
Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., says Raytheon, a defense and aerospace company, wants to team up with the University of North Dakota aerospace school.
Dorgan says it shows that investments made in UND’s aviation program are paying off.
