An international Sana'a Airport source said that the airport's aviation authorities forced a plane registered in the United States to land at the airport yesterday[13 September] evening, because it entered the Yemeni airspace without advance permission.

The source, who preferred anonymity, said that a Cessna 421 plane landed at the airport after flying in the Yemeni airspace with no permission.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, an official told the German news agency that the plane had its pilot and one passenger on board, noting that the security authorities are investigating the accident. The plane had taken off from Jedda in Saudi Arabia; however, its destination is still unknown.
