Northern Foods has introduced a new range of meat free products under its Grassington's Food brand, said Talking Retail. This marks the company's foray into the meat substitute products business.
The new range of food, which is called Grassington's Gardein and is made from a new meat free substitute, will be supported by a marketing campaign. Meat Free Chicken Fillets with Tomato & Herb Marinade, Meat Free Peppered Steak and Beef Style Meatballs are the three products in this range.
David Boyle, marketing manager for Grassington's, said: "The Grassington's Gardein range is the ideal solution for the UK's growing number of people who crave the convenience, texture and versatility of meat but are seeking a tasty, healthier or more environmentally conscious meat free alternative."
