Finance Ministry Considering All Proposals to Reduce Oil Sector’s Taxation – Kudrin
MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) – The Russian Finance Ministry is considering all proposals to reduce the taxation of the oil sector, but no final decisions have yet been made on this account, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin.
“Certainly, we will consider all proposals,” Kudrin told journalists in Moscow on Wednesday. “The Russian oil and gas sector needs support,” he said.
Kudrin insisted, however, that it is necessary first to analyze the effect of the benefits already granted to the oil producers and only then making decisions on granting new ones.
