Suez Energy North America's Affiliate Sells Chehalis Power Plant Subsidiary

Suez Energy North America's affiliate has sold a subsidiary that owns and operates the 520MW natural-gas-fired power generation facility in Chehalis, Washington, to PacifiCorp. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
As part of the acquisition, PacifiCorp has offered employment to all 15 of the employees at the Chehalis plant.
Zin Smati, president and CEO of Suez Energy North America, said: "We are very pleased to have finalized this purchase and sale agreement with PacifiCorp. Following our recent agreement to acquire FirstLight Power Enterprises, we are optimizing our portfolio of power generation assets and focusing our US resources on the eastern part of the US, from Texas to Maine, including the deregulated markets of New England, New York, the PJM market and Electric Reliability Council of Texas."
