Iran: More Than 3.2m Barrels of Crude Oil Produced in South Oil Fields Per Day
Text of report by Iranian state-run provincial TV from Khuzestan on 16 September
Production manager of the National Iranian South Oil Company has talked about daily production of 3,200,000 barrels of crude oil on average since the beginning of this year [Iranian year started 20 March 2008] by this company.
Ali Aqajarian added that this number of crude oil barrels has been recovered to 40 oil fields and 45 production factories through gas injection. He said that from this amount more than 2m barrels of crude oil are exported per day and the remaining is used as fuel and subsidiary products of the refineries.
At the moment 83 per cent of the country’s oil and 40 per cent of the gas are produced in the south oil reservoirs of the country.
