Iranian Delegation Will Soon Visit Moscow for Talks With Gazprom
TEHRAN. Sept 21 (Interfax) – A delegation of the National Iranian Oil Company (NOIC) will visit Moscow either in late September or in early October in order to continue talks with Gazprom (RTS: GAZP).
“The Iranian delegation, headed by my deputy, will visit Russia in the next two weeks in order to discuss earlier signed agreements,” NIOC Managing Director Seifollah Jashnsaz told the Fars News Agency.
Gazprom takes part in the second and the third stages of developing the South Pars gas field and is in talks on participating in new stages. This May, Royal Dutch Shell and Repsol YPF refused to take part in the 13th stage of the project, which increased Gazprom chances to take part in it.
Gazprom and NIOC are also discussing possible exchange operations on gas deliveries. In particular, the issue is about long-term deliveries of Russian gas to northern Iran.
Gazprom’s oil subsidiary is interested in developing the North Azadegan, Shurum, Kukh-i-Rig and Dudru oil fields.
