Mark Barnekow Recognized As One of San Francisco Bay Area’s Most Admired CEOs
Amphire(R) Solutions, which recently announced a merger with iTradeNetwork, today announced that Mark Barnekow, president and CEO, is the recipient of San Francisco Business Times' Most Admired CEO Award 2008. Under Barnekow's direction and leadership, Amphire has become a technology leader in the global food and beverage industry supplying the foodservice, hospitality and retail sectors. Barnekow is honoured in the Emerging Growth Company category and will be recognized in a special November 2008 San Francisco Business Times report on Bay Area leadership.
Since Amphire's inception in 2000, Barnekow has executed a vision that has brought the company increased growth and profitability. Barnekow focused on building strong customer relationships and acquiring complementary businesses to rapidly grow Amphire. Amphire's extensive customer list includes major brands such as ARAMARK, Burger King, Coca-Cola, Coors, Del Monte Foods, Foster Farms, Heinz, Kimberly Clark, Pizza Hut and Thistle Hotels. Barnekow most recently led Amphire's merger with iTradeNetwork, a privately-held technology leader in supply chain solutions for the food industry. The combined company, iTradeNetwork, creates the leading global foodservice, retail grocery, hospitality and healthcare industry supply chain network. After the merger is complete, Barnekow will become iTradeNetwork's president of international to continue the Company's global expansion.
