Russian Companies May Set Up Energy Consortium With Venezuela

Moscow, 22 September: Russian and Venezualan oil and gas companies may set up a consortium for working at oil and gas fields in Latin America, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin has said, reporting on the results of his visit to Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua last week.
“With our companies’ participation, a consortium may be set up for working in Venezuela and other countries of the region,” he said. [Passage omitted]
