Russian Airlines Accused of Breaking License Law
MOSCOW. Sept 22 (Interfax) – Russia’s Office of the Prosecutor General said on Monday that Russian airlines KrasAir and Sibaviatrans (SIAT) have possessed fewer aircraft than the legal minimum permitted to them for passenger transportation.
“It has been established that, in violation of the regulations on the licensing of air transportation approved by Government Resolution No. 397 of June 23, 2007, these airline companies have been pursuing entrepreneurial activities without possessing a sufficient fleet of aircraft for the regular transportation of passengers by air along routes stated by them,” the office said in a report posted on its website.
