The State Gas Company (PGN) has said it will increase the gas supply for the State Electricity Company (PLN) to 230-260 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) next year.
The supply is for electricity generators in Muara Tawar, Tanjung Priok and Cilegon in Java, according to the PGN Chief Executive Officer Hendi P Santoso.
PGN said it will channel the gas from South Sumatra to West Java using the Natural Gas Transmission Pipe.
According to PGN, Muara Tawar will be supplied with 200 mmscfd, while 30 mmscfd of gas will be distributed to Tanjung Priok. PGN has not yet agreed on Cirebon’s supply. PGN refused to reveal the price.
