Iberdrola Renovables Brings Three US Wind Farms on Stream

Spanish clean energy firm Iberdrola Renovables has brought three new wind farms on stream in the US with a combined capacity of 168.5MW, adding to its growth and advancing its strategic goals in the market.
Iberdrola Renovables brought on stream the 72MW Providence Heights wind farm in Bureau County, Illinois, with 36 Gamesa G87 2MW capacity wind turbines; the 20MW Winnebago I wind farm in Winnebago County, Iowa, with 10 Gamesa G83 2MW wind turbines; and the 76.5MW Klondike IIIA wind farm in Sherman County, Oregon, with 51 GE 1.5MW wind turbine units.
The company currently has 781MW in wind capacity in advanced stages of construction in the US. Iberdrola Renovables's 2008-12 Strategic Plan foresees investing E9.4 billion or 50% of its total investment outlay in the US.
