Swift Energy Donates $0.5 Million to Hurricane Disaster Relief

Swift Energy Company (NYSE:SFY) announced today that it will donate $0.5 million to the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund to provide assistance to those people and communities affected by the recent hurricane that hit the Gulf Coast region.

“While the extent of the damage caused by the recent hurricane may still not be entirely known, it is clear that millions of people have had their lives impacted adversely,” noted Terry Swift, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Swift Energy Company. “Swift Energy’s employees and operations were affected by Hurricane Ike, and we remain committed to helping the communities where we live and operate. We hope that this donation will provide some comfort and relief to those who need help the most.”
