Hawaiian Airlines Names VP of Maintenance and Engineering
Hawaiian Airlines has named Dennis Manibusan as its new vice president of maintenance and engineering, effective October 13, 2008.
Mr Manibusan will report to Charles Nardello, senior vice president of operations at Hawaiian Airlines, and fills the position previously held by Mr Nardello before his promotion in October 2007.
Mr Manibusan will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, reliability and cleanliness of Hawaiian's fleet of trans-Pacific and interisland aircraft.
Mr Manibusan brings 37 years of aviation experience to Hawaiian having most recently served as senior vice president of maintenance and engineering for ABX Air in Wilmington, Ohio, where he worked for the past 15 years. His executive and management experience also includes positions with similar responsibilities for Alaska Airlines and Continental Airlines.
Mr Nardello said: "Manny's technical knowledge and deep experience are perfectly suited to supporting Hawaiian's commitment to operational excellence. He also has a track record of leadership and respect within the rank-and-file that makes him an especially good fit at Hawaiian."
