Royal Jordanian to Launch Direct Service Between Amman and Brussels

September 25, 2008

Royal Jordanian Airlines has announced that it will launch a new direct service between Amman, Jordan, and Brussels, Belgium, effective April 1, 2009.

The airline will operate the new direct service twice weekly on Saturdays and Wednesdays, using the Airbus A319 aircraft, which was recently added to the airline’s fleet.

Samer Majali, president and CEO of Royal Jordanian, said: “The scheduled direct service to Brussels has been resumed for commercial reasons, following studies of the Belgian market, which indicated that it is feasible to reconnect Jordan and Belgium.

“The open skies policy signed by the two countries on July 29, 2008, grants Jordan the third and fourth freedom rights to operate between Amman and Brussels directly and with unlimited frequencies.”
