Unilever Opens New Research Center for Food Manufacturing Technology

UK-based consumer products company Unilever has opened a new global research center for food manufacturing technology in Cisterna, Italy.
Food Ingredients First has said that the new center will bring together Unilever's know-how of complex food products, downstream product assembly and freezing technology. In order to deliver restaurant quality with convenient foods, the center will use exclusive ingredients and culinary techniques.
According to the company, this new Center of Excellence for Assembled Foods will employ 50 R&D professionals.
