Some HDH-Brand Grilling Sauce is Recalled
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of 103 bottles of HDH-brand grilling sauce because of a labeling error.
The FDA said CaJohns Fiery Foods Co. of Columbus, Ohio, initiated the recall because the product might contain anchovies, soybeans and wheat, all undeclared allergens that pose a health hazard to some people.
The affected HDH Grillin’ Sauce was sold nationwide between Jan. 1, 2007, and Sept. 15, 2008, by retailers, mail order and Web sites. The recalled barbeque sauces were sold in 16-ounce glass bottles with lot number 249242, 249298, 249304, 249154, 249181 or 249197 printed on a label located on the bottom of each bottle.
