Time Warner Cable Appoints New Key Executive

US-based Time Warner Cable has appointed Blaine Altaffer as its group vice president of sales channels and market development. He will report to Sam Howe, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the company.

Mr Altaffer will be responsible for Time Warner Cable’s sales strategies and sales channels, including e-retail, retail and door-to-door sales, as well as the company’s initiatives in the mover’s market.

In his 16 years at Circuit City Stores, Mr Altaffer held several sales and purchasing positions. Most recently, he was business team lead for digital connections, and managed all aspects of the company’s retail partnerships with cable, internet, telecom, wireless and satellite companies. He also served as senior buyer for televisions, furniture and DVD hardware.

Mr Howe said: “He is a seasoned, entrepreneurial, visionary manager whose expertise is an ideal fit for the tremendous opportunities and demands facing our sales strategies. I am certain he will help drive Time Warner Cable forward, faster.”
