Titan Energy Worldwide Announces New Orders and Delivery of State-of-the-Art Bi-Fuel Power System

Posted on: Thursday, 25 September 2008, 12:00 CDT

Titan Energy Worldwide (OTCBB: TEWI) announced today that its subsidiary, Titan Energy Systems, has received two new bookings on emergency power systems and delivered a new, state-of-the-art bi-fuel power system. Together, these bookings and delivery represent $266,900 in revenues for the Company. Titan Energy Systems is a full line sales and service provider of power generation equipment with headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota and satellite offices in Nebraska and Iowa.

The 750kW Bi-Fuel Gemini TwinPack power system will supply backup power to the newly developed 260,000 sq. foot Austin Mutual Insurance building in Maple Grove, MN. The power system was installed in an ultra quiet, sound attenuated weather enclosure that houses two 375kW, 12.0L engines. The generator has an estimated run time of one week and offers the power of two generators in one enclosure to provide redundancy and a smaller footprint at 164 sq ft. The bi-fuel system starts on diesel fuel and then operates off natural gas as the load is applied. Typical fuel consumption during an outage is 70% natural gas and 30% diesel fuel. The natural gas component extends the run time of a typical fuel tank as much as 300%.

Stated Tom Vagts, Chief Operating Officer of Titan Energy Systems, "The Gemini Bi-Fuel power system offers a cleaner, more environmentally friendly option to back up power generation. The natural gas capability allows these generators to run three times longer than a diesel system. With the price of diesel fuel and the convenience of extended run-times, the Bi-Fuel system is a smart, powerful choice and gives Titan a competitive advantage in our market place."

Titan has also received an order to supply a 500kW 18 liter diesel generator to provide backup power and business continuity emergency power to the Minnesota Public Housing Authority facility located in Minneapolis. In addition, Titan Energy is working with Global Energy Resources to supply a 100kW diesel generator to the City Hall building for the municipality of Shorewood, MN.

The Gemini Power System and diesel engines supplied by Titan Energy Systems are manufactured by Generac Power Systems of Waukesha, Wisconsin. More information on the Titan Energy Systems and its product line can be found at www.titanenergysystems.com.
