Chubais Joins J.P. Morgan’s International Board
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) – Anatoly Chubais, the former CEO of Russian electricity holding RAO UES (RTS: EESR), has joined the international board of J.P. Morgan, the company said in a press release.
This marks the first time that a representative of Russian business circles has joined this consultative body, the press release says.
The board currently has 35 members.
Chubais was appointed chief of Russian Nanotechnologies Corporation (Rosnanotekh) on Monday. As UES CEO, he attracted some 950 billion rubles in private investments to the Russian electricity sector.
He will serve on the J.P. Morgan board without receiving any compensation, the press release says.
