Toddler Struck By Car in Her Family Driveway

ACCIDENT A toddler was in a critical condition in Pendlebury Hospital in Manchester after suffering multiple skull fractures when she was struck by a car in the driveway of her home in Walney, Barrow-in-Furness. It is thought the car reversed over her.

Air crash fear as pilots dazzled by lasers

AIR SAFETY Airline pilots are warning that a crash is likely unless action is taken to stop people shining laser pointers into the cockpit of planes coming in to land. The British Airline Pilots’ Association said there have been dozens of incidents in the past year, with dazzled pilots forced to hand controls over to their co- pilot.
