Lake Acquisitions Purchases 26% of British Energy Share Capital

Lake Acquisitions, a wholly owned subsidiary of EDF, has acquired 274.28 million British Energy shares at a price of GBP7.74 per share, representing approximately 26.53% of the existing issued share capital of British Energy.
Earlier, the boards of EDF and British Energy had reached an agreement on the terms of the recommended offers to be made by Lake Acquisitions for the entire issued and to-be-issued share capital of British Energy.
